Pietro Arentino was born April 20th, 1492 in Tuscany, Italy. Arentino had a flair for the dramatic and a knack for making a profit from contemporary politics. He became notorious for his pornographic writings and is reputed to have become rich by promising not to turn his clever and vicious wit to certain subjects that would have compromised various public figures.
