C M Bowra Born April 8th

Cecil Maurice Bowra was born April 8th, 1898 in Kiukiang, China. Bowra was associated in various capacities with the University of Oxford, and is best known for his studies on ancient Greek poetry and culture. He was knighted in 1951.
